STAG launches and events begin to flow in!

STAG Music has certainly had a busy start in its first year! Making a number of bookings in Essex, Kent, Surrey and London for birthday parties, weddings and summer events, STAG is surely making a name for itself. Performances at these venues so far have seen the likes of the talented Billy Stookes Trio (including Rob Luft who performed on the One Show with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra (Picture 1)), Bryony Keyse and the Fred Taylor Duo – an act that was enjoyed so much by a guest that they were booked on the spot for another event in Essex! Another big booking for the agency this year has been the provision of music entertainment for thirteen Queen Mary University graduation events as well as the Queen Mary ‘125 Year Celebration’ event, making STAG the official music supplier for Queen Mary University. The music for the graduation ceremonies were delivered by the Billy Stookes Trio – for more information and audios visit the ‘featured artists’ section on our website.

In spite of its surge of bookings, the pinnacle of STAG’s success thus far has undoubtedly been winning the National Student Enterprise Competition run by Grad Factor TV. Ashley Smith’s (Sales & Events Manager) convincing speech and animated pitch won over a panel of five impressive judges (Rajeeb Dey, founder and CEO of Enternships; Hushpreet Dhaliwal, CEO of NACUE; James Eder, CEO and co-founder of Student Beans; Mark Pearson, founder of MyVoucherCodes and Carrie Green, founder of the Female Entrepreneur Association) who all showed great excitement and faith in STAG. Not only did STAG win a cash prize but they also won the invaluable privilege of being mentored by Michael Hayman (Chairman of Entrepreneurs at Coutts & Co., co-founder of Seven Hills and co-founder of StartUp Britain) (Picture 3). This was a great opportunity for STAG to build high-end contacts and potential clientèle and has aided the company’s success this year enormously.

The future’s looking just as bright for the company with a number of gigs confirmed in Citi Bank, Honourable Artillery Company, North London, Surrey, PayPal HQ and Chertsey House, Heathrow. Not only is it in great demand for bookings but it is also in the preparation stages of launching its brand new projects: ‘STAG Events’ and ‘STAG Management’. The launch for these two subsidiary companies is set to go ahead on the 21st September at Concrete, Shoreditch and will showcase an array of STAG musicians with an exciting twist! We’ll keep you posted shortly with more details on the event, so watch this space…
